The BA (Hons) Music at Edinburgh Napier University is a full-time Undergraduate degree that aims to create versatile musicians who can adapt their music to wherever their passion takes them. The course offers a thorough understanding of the modern music industry coupled with opportunities to learn from successful, active musicians.Course Content: The BA (Hons) Music course has a practical emphasis that encourages creativity and originality. Students will explore and develop their personal musical style through composing, performing and studying music across a wide range of modules. In addition to core academic and research skills, the course encourages theoretical understanding, critical listening, teamwork, and entrepreneurialism.Key Modules: The course comprises modules such as Performance, Composition, Musicianship, Music and the Creative Industries, Historical and Contextual Studies, Arranging and Orchestration, Music Teaching in the 21st Century, Creative Practice, and Honours Project.Accreditations: The course is validated by the Joint Audio Media Education Support (JAMES), the education support arm of the Association of Professional Recording Services (APRS), and the Music Producers Guild (MPG).Future Careers: Graduates are prepared for a broad range of careers in the music sector such as performances, composition, music teaching, music therapy, community arts work, music administration, and further academic study or research.For more information on this course, please visit the official course page.
