MSc Gemmology

The Gemmology MSc at Birmingham City University is a full-time course that focuses on providing extensive knowledge and understanding of gem materials. It seeks to equip students with skills to identify, grade and appraise gemstones using advanced gemological equipment, in addition to offering an introduction to entrepreneurship in Gemmology.Course Content: The course includes a wide-ranging content covering areas such as Introduction to Gemmological Techniques, Instrumental Gem Testing, Coloured Stones, Diamonds, and Pearl.
