        The Theatre Making course offered by Kent University is a full-time, rigorous, MA programme that challenges students to create high-quality theatre. It offers the opportunity to engage not only with traditional theatre-making elements such as writing, directing, and performing, but also with design, adaptation and new technologies that impact contemporary theatre.

        Course Content: The course involves practices and theories of making theatre and performances in a variety of settings. The curriculum brings together diverse historical and contemporary themes, styles, forms and methodologies. It includes intensive practical and theoretical engagement with the strategies, techniques and practices of theatre-making. Special emphasis is given to experiment, risk-taking, research and creative practice as primary modes of learning.

        Key Modules: The course modules include MAKING CONTEMPORARY THEATRE: PRACTICE, PROCESS, PRODUCT, THEATRE MAKING DISSERTATION, PHILOSOPHICAL THEATRE, MASTERS PRACTICAL PROJECT, and MAKING MODERN THEATRE: REHEARSAL PROCESSES.
