The LLB Law course at the University of Kent allows students to gain a thorough understanding of the general principles and methodologies of the UK legal system. With the advantage of having the Law degree from one of the leading UK law schools, students will develop impressive research and academic writing skills in addition to a comprehensive understanding of the main areas of legal knowledge.Course Content: The course is structured in a way that students will study six modules in their first year, each of which all law students are required to complete. These modules include: Public Law 1: Constitutional Law, Public Law II: Administrative Law, and Law of the European Union. In the second and third years, students can choose to study the subjects that most interest them from a wide range of options. This might include commercial law subjects, such as Company Law or Intellectual Property Law, or more socially-oriented subjects, such as Employment Law or Family and Child Law.Key Modules: Some of the key modules that students can pick from include Jurisprudence and Legal Theory, Commercial Property, Principles of Company Law, and Intellectual Property Law.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board. After successfully completing this course, students are eligible to undertake the next stage of training to become a solicitor or barrister.Future Careers: After graduating, students are well-prepared for careers in sectors like law, banking, the civil service, general management, and legal advice centers.
