The Physics with Astrophysics BSc at the University of Kent is a three-year undergraduate course that blends in-depth study of all aspects of physics with astrophysics. Students will explore the wide scope of space, time, matter and energy from nano-scale quantum mechanics to the large-scale universe.Course Content: The first year of study introduces fundamental concepts and principles of physics. Further studies in the second and third years provide a deeper understanding of phenomena at greater scales, from sub-atomic particles up to the largest galaxies. The course gives a unique opportunity to study astrophysics and cosmology in-depth as well.Key Modules: Some of the key modules you will study include Physics of the Universe, Quantum Mechanics, and Astrophysics. You may also take up additional modules offered by the school, including Introduction to Optics, Computational Physics, Stellar Structure and Evolution, and Observational Astrophysics.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Institute of Physics (IOP), permitting students who achieve a sufficient standard to gain professional recognition and build career progression.Future Careers: Moreover, physics graduates from Kent have gone on to pursue a variety of careers in sectors such as education, finance, health, communications, IT, service industry, governmental statistical services, scientific Civil Service, and utilities.
