The undergraduate Sociology program at Kent University is a comprehensive and dynamic course of study aimed at equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary to understand and address a range of socio-political issues relevant in today's world. Students will delve deep into the study of human society, exploring its development, structure, and functioning.Course Content: The three-year program will expose students to a diverse range of subjects including social research skills, sociological theory, and contemporary social issues. With the program's flexible structure, students will even have the chance to study abroad for a term at one of the university's partner institutions. Key Modules: Sociology at Kent University is composed of various modules that include Theory and Methods in Sociology, Designing and Conducting Social Research, Classical Sociological Thought, Investigating Modern Culture, and Kent Crime Matters in Year 1. Progressing through years 2 and 3, students encounter modules such as Social Class and Inequality, Urban Sociology, and Sociology of Mental Health.
