BA (Hons.) Ancient, Medieval & Modern History

The Ancient, Medieval, and Modern History BA (Hons) course at the University of Kent offers students a comprehensive education in diverse periods of history, spanning ancient civilizations to the present day. Students will gain valuable skills and knowledge as well as an understanding of historical methods, concepts and debates. Course Content: The course content is divided into stages. In Stage 1, students study introductory modules to Ancient, Medieval, and Modern history along with an option of a wildcard module. Stage 2 and 3 allow students to choose their modules from a range of specialized subjects with a dissertation module mandatory in the final year. Key Modules: The key modules for this course include 'Making History: Key Skills and Themes', 'Myth in the Ancient World', 'Medieval and Modern Canterbury', 'The French Revolution, 1789-1795' ', 'Victorian Britain: Politics, Society and Culture', and 'The Rise of the USA, 1890-2000'.
