MA Translation (Arabic Pathway)

The Translation Arabic Pathway MA program at the University of Leicester is a comprehensive exploration of the theory, practice, and professional challenges of translation between English and Arabic. During the first part, you will be equipped with an in-depth understanding of translation theory which you will be able to apply in professional practice. In the second part, you will have the opportunity to focus on your practical translation skills, and you will also write a dissertation on a topic related to your studies.Key Modules: The course consists of a range of compulsory and optional modules. The compulsory modules include Principles and Practice of Translation, Principles of Translation and Interpreting, Arabic-English Translation, Move Analysis of Texts in English, Translation Technologies (optional), and Texts and Contexts (optional).
