The Law with Politics LLB at the University of Leicester offers a unique blend of legal studies with a deep dive into modern global politics. This three-year, full-time course enables students to understand the complexities of politics and international relations, while also gaining a strong foundation in UK law.Course Content: The course offers an interdisciplinary approach to studying law and politics. In the first year, students study foundations of law, History of Political Ideas, and two optional modules from Sociology, Media and Communication, or History. In the second and third year, students advance their foundational knowledge with modules on Politics and Law of the EU, Human Rights, Constitutional Law and Administrative Law. They also have the opportunity to choose from a range of optional modules that focus on specific areas of law and politics. Key Modules: Some key modules include Criminal Law, Law of Torts, Land Law, Equity and Trust Law, and Public Law. In addition, there are modules on History of Political Ideas, Politics and Law of the EU, and Constitutional Law.
