BEng Aerospace Engineering

The Aerospace Engineering BEng course offered by the University of Leicester is a three-year degree program designed to fully equip students with the essential skills and knowledge necessary to thrive in the aerospace engineering industry. This course provides the opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals regarding the latest technologies and developments in aerospace engineering.Course Content: Throughout this course, students will gain additional knowledge of engineering fundamentals. This course is a blend of essential theoretical as well as practical knowledge acquisition.Key Modules: The course curriculum includes key modules such as Principles of Flight and Aircraft Structure, Control Systems, Turbo-machinery and Propulsion, Spacecraft technology and Satellite Communications, Structural Integrity and Aero-elasticity, and Flying and Gliding experience.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS), the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) - meeting in full the academic requirement for Incorporated Engineer and in part, the academic requirement for a Chartered Engineer.Future Careers: The skills, knowledge, and work experience that students gain from this course make them eligible for various positions in the aerospace sector. Some prospective future roles include Flight Engineer, Aerospace Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, and possible roles in Defence and Security.
