BA Politics & International Relations

The Politics and International Relations BA offered by the University of Leicester allows students to study and analyse global politics. It encourages students to think critically, with varying perspectives and approaches to issues of power, order and justice around the world, thus enabling them to become an informed and engaged global citizen.Course Content: The course comprises two parts - your main subject (75% of your time) and a Minor subject (25%). It gives you the freedom to explore a variety of topics related to politics and international relations such as democracy, political theory, human rights, global governance, war and peace, and many others. Key Modules: Some of the key modules for this course include Political Analysis; The Politics of Globalisation; Analysing British Politics; World History since 1945; War and Peace; Comparative Party Politics, and many more. The specific modules you take will depend on your main subject and your Minor subject.Future Careers: The course prepares students for a wide range of careers. Graduates have moved on to work in international organizations, the civil service, NGOs, teaching, marketing, public relations, journalism, and banking.
