The BA (Hons) Criminology with Forensic Investigation course at the University of Cumbria provides a comprehensive understanding of criminology and forensic investigation. The course aims to combine both theoretical and practical knowledge of the different aspects of crime, law enforcement and criminal justice, alongside the forensic science methods used in crime scene investigation.Course Content: The course spans over three years full-time, or six years part-time. In the first year, students will be introduced to the legal justice system, criminology, research methods, and fundamental forensic investigation. The second year focuses on psychological, social, and environmental criminology, alongside modules in forensic science and criminal law. The final year includes modules on major investigation, forensic archeology, crime prevention, and a choice of dissertation subject or criminology project.
