MA Design (Illustration)

The MA Design (Illustration) course at Sheffield Hallam University is designed for students who aim to enrich their personal design and illustration practice, delving deeper into their creative thinking. The course experience includes access to specialist workshops with contemporary technology, developing professional skills, and introducing students to a supportive creative network. Course Content: The program comprises distinctive modules focusing on artistic innovation and creativity. Students will study design methodologies and undertake a major project alongside specialist illustration modules. Students will gain advanced knowledge of professional design and illustration by developing their own project work.Key Modules: The main modules in this course include Design Praxis for Major Project; Practice; Business of Design; Research Methodologies; Contextual Studies and Final Major Project. Students will also undertake a final, self-directed project to apply their learned skills and concepts in Design: Illustration. Future Careers: As a graduate, you will be well-equipped for a range of roles within the design industry. Opportunities may exist in areas such as Freelance Illustrator, Artworker, Designer, or Creative Director.
