BSc (Honours) Diagnostic Radiography

The BSc (Honours) Diagnostic Radiography course offered by Sheffield Hallam University is a full-time program that prepares students for a career in diagnostic radiography. The course combines academic theory with practical sessions, providing students with the necessary knowledge and skills to provide patient-centered imaging services. It requires a considerable amount of placement experience that helps students to develop necessary experience and skills.Course Content: The program curriculum covers topics like anatomy, physiology, radiographic technique and physics, research methods, pathology, and patient care. The course also trains students to use equipment to diagnose and manage diseases.Key Modules: Key modules include Principals of Diagnostic Imaging, Introduction to Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology for Radiographers, Radiographic Practice, Radiographic Image Interpretation and many more.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the Society and College of Radiographers (SCoR). Upon graduating, students are eligible to apply for professional registration with the HCPC.Future Careers: After graduating, students may go on to work as diagnostic radiographers in the NHS, the independent sector or overseas.
