MSc Space Engineering

The Space Engineering MSc at the University of Surrey is a full-time or part-time program designed with significant input from experts in the sector, providing a broad-based, practical introduction to space engineering. It is suited to those passionate about space, and the science, technology, and applications related to it. Course Content: The course covers a wide range of topics including mission analysis and space system design, space robotics, spacecraft manufacturing and testing, and the scientific, legal and economic aspects of space. There is also a group design project, drawing together the taught elements of the course and developing skills in project management and team working.Key Modules: These include Satellite Design, Economics of the Space Sector, Orbital Mechanics, Spacecraft Structures and Mechanisms, Astrophysics and more. There is also a compulsory module named Space Engineering Group Design Project. Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) as well as the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS). Future Careers: This course prepares graduates for roles such as system engineers, space engineers, spacecraft engineers, project managers and the like within space agencies, companies specializing in space engineering and technology, and research institutions.
