The BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering course at the University of Surrey is a full-time, on-campus program created to equip learners with the skills and knowledge necessary to contribute to a society that increasingly relies on electrical and electronic technologies for core aspects of life and work. The course explores the broad spectrum of electrical and electronic engineering, from chip-level electronics and digital signal processing, to communications systems and power distribution.Course Content: This course offers a rich and comprehensive exploration of electrical and electronic engineering. It involves core learning in the first two years, focusing on fundamental engineering principles such as electronics, electromagnetic fields, electrical circuits, systems and control, along with computer engineering and mathematics. In the final year, students choose from a range of advanced technical electives.Key Modules: Throughout their learning, students engage in key modules such as Systems and Control, Communications and Networks, Digital System and Microprocessors, Electronic Materials and Devices and 'Zero to Infinity: Everything You Need To Know About Modern Math.'Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partly meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer.Future Careers: Graduates of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering can pursue careers in a variety of sectors including aerospace, telecommunications, automotive, information technology, energy, and more.
