BSc (Hons) Nutrition and Dietetics

The Nutrition and Dietetics BSc (Hons) course offered by the University of Surrey is designed to provide a solid foundation in nutritional science, alongside a professional training in dietetics. The full-time course span is four years, with a one-year professional training placement.Course Content: The programme includes a vast range of topics related to human nutrition, health promotion, clinical dietetics, and food services management. Students will be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to analyse the nutritional content of food, advise on nutrition and diet for health promotion and disease prevention, and design therapeutic diets for patients.Key Modules: Some of the key modules covered include Nutritional Biochemistry, Physiology for Nutrition, Food Science and Microbiology, Professional Practice in Nutrition and Dietetics, Human Disease and Therapeutics, among others.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the British Dietetic Association (BDA) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
