MSc Reproductive and Developmental Biology

The Reproductive and Developmental Biology course offered by the University of Aberdeen is a 12-month full-time study programme that explores how the science of reproductive and developmental biology can be applied to cattle breeding. The course presents a unique integration of both theory and practice in understanding reproductive and developmental biology.Course Content: This captivating course consists of lectures, workshops, lab practicals, and student-led presentations. Throughout the academic term, students will deeply delve into various subjects such as Embryology, Gametogenesis, Implantation, Placenta, Pregnancy, Foetal Development, Regulation, Environmental Impact, and more.Key Modules: The important modules involve taking the students through the fundamental principles of reproductive and developmental biology, studying animal and human reproduction, developmental biology, and the application of reproductive technology.Accreditations: At the completion of the course, students are awarded an MSc, a PgDip or a PgCert in Reproductive and Developmental Biology by the University of Aberdeen.Future Careers: The advanced knowledge and skills learnt in this program prepares students to be more competitive in positions related to research and development in human reproductive biology, and the animal/human assisted reproduction industries.
