The Civil and Environmental Engineering BEng Hons is a full-time, undergraduate course offered by the University of Aberdeen. It is a mix of Civil Engineering and Environmental Science that provides students with technical skills as well as a strong understanding of environmental sustainability. Course Content: The course is structured over four years, and each year, the depth of the student's understanding is enriched by various subjects, practicals, and theoretical concepts. The first year contains broad topics that provide an introduction to engineering with courses from across the engineering disciplines, math, and physical sciences. From the second year, the course content becomes more specific with focused modules on environmental geotechnics, water, and rural engineering. In third & fourth years, students deepen their understanding and specialize further in subjects like hydrocarbon production, civil and environmental engineering, etc. Students also undertake design and research project work in their final year.
