Sport Rehabilitation at UWE Bristol is a BSc (Hons) course designed to develop students' understanding of preventing, diagnosing, and treating sports and physical activity-related injuries. The course combines theoretical knowledge with the practical skills necessary for becoming a competent sports rehabilitator.Course Content: The course deals with anatomy, injury prevention, and rehabilitation, covering topics such as pathophysiology of injury and illness, treatment modalities, and professional development. It includes theoretical aspects and education on clinical and field-based settings.Key Modules: The core modules include Foundations of Human Anatomy, Foundations of Human Physiology, Injury Prevention and Immediate Care in Sport, Principles of Biomechanics, Rehabilitation in Sport, and Evidence-Informed Sport Rehabilitation. Accreditations: The BSc(Hons) Sport Rehabilitation is accredited by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT), enabling graduates to practice as a Graduate Sport Rehabilitator.Future Careers: Graduates can work as healthcare professionals qualified to diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate sports people or anyone with an exercise-related injury. They can also work in a variety of settings such as sports and exercise, primary care facilities, armed forces, or set up their private practices.
