The Software Engineering for Business course at UWE Bristol is a hands-on, innovative course that equips students with the key theoretical knowledge and practical skills required by the modern software industry. It focuses on ensuring students understand the importance of software engineering in the context of business in order to drive efficiency and productivity.Course Content: This course includes a strong computing and business emphasis. The programme offers a comprehensive grounding in software engineering theory, business, and enterprise, providing students with a rich understanding of professional and ethical practice. Key Modules: Key modules include Software Engineering, Data Structures and Algorithms, Network Fundamentals, Computer and Network Infrastructure, and others. There's also an optional 48-week placement in a software engineering business or adherent role. Accreditations: The Software Engineering for Business course is developed in partnership with Tech Partnership – a network of over 60 leading tech employers – and is co-designed by leading employers from digital and tech industries, ensuring it’s aligned with industry standards. Future Careers: Upon finishing this course, graduates can pursue careers in diverse roles, such as software developer, software analyst, project manager, business analyst, and others.
