BSc (Hons.) Geography

The Geography course offered by UWE Bristol is a BSc (Hons) full-time undergraduate degree program. This course allows students to explore the rapidly changing world and investigates how physical and human environments coexist. It provides a solid foundation in Geography and the flexibility to follow personal interests. Course Content: The course introduces students to following key areas such as Geological Hazards, Environmental Change, and Sustainability. The first year offers a variety of modules introducing Physical and Human Geography, the second year then allows students to focus on chosen aspects of Geography, and the third year delivers a culmination of previous learning with an extensive research project.Key Modules: The course's foundational modules include Investigating Landscapes, Earth and Ocean Systems, Global Perspectives, Environmental Hazards, Ecologies and Environments, and Society, Culture and Space. Other notable modules include Development and Globalisation, Geographical Skills, Environmental Management and Sustainability, and Geographical Research Methods, among others. Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG).Future Careers: Graduates of this course have versatile career paths that can lead to roles in areas such as environmental management, the public sector, teaching, tourism, planning and development, and retail and financial services.
