The Diagnostic Radiography BSc(Hons) offered by UWE Bristol is a full-time three-year undergraduate course. This course aims to educate and develop students into compassionate healthcare professionals equipped to deliver high-quality diagnostic images while providing excellent patient care. Course Content: Throughout the course, students will gain hands-on experience in the clinical radiography environment, alongside learning the theory and science behind medical imaging. The curriculum spans various areas such as human anatomy and physiology, radiographic technique, image interpretation, and professional practice.Key Modules: Some of the key modules include Radiographic Science and Technology, Patient Care Skills, Professional Studies, Applied Radiographic Practice, Radiographic Image Analysis and Interpretation and Clinical Management skills.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and upon graduation, students will be eligible to register with the HCPC as a Diagnostic Radiographer. It also has accreditation from the Society and College of Radiographers.Future Careers: Graduates from this course can find work in a range of settings including hospitals, private clinics, industrial companies, or research centres. They may opt to specialize in areas such as MRI, CT, trauma and orthopaedics, breast imaging, nuclear medicine, and paediatrics to name a few.
