The Law with Criminology course at Edge Hill University is a three-year, full-time Undergraduate degree that combines the deep knowledge of law and its practical applications with an understanding of criminological theory relating to crime, justice, and the social context in which they exist. Course Content: The curriculum incorporates a study of laws and principles of justice, combined with the understanding of criminal behavior, its causes, and how society responds to it. Students study key modules in Law together with elective modules in Criminology.Key Modules: Throughout the duration of this course, students will undertake several modules including but not limited to Criminal Law, Foundations of Legal Principles, Justice in Action, Legal and Professional Skills and Public Law. Biopsy of Crime, Psychological Explanations of Criminal Behavior, and Sociology of Crime and Control are among those specific to Criminology.Accreditations: This course is accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board.
