The Law program at Edge Hill University provides a comprehensive and exciting approach to the study of law, allowing students to gain the vital skills for a career in law or other professional careers. Offered full-time over three years, the course combines theory and practical skills to provide students with in-depth knowledge of the industry and ensure a solid foundation to build a successful career.Course Content: The course covers key areas of English and international law, explores contemporary legal problems and develops the skills law graduates need. Students can understand key legal concepts, principles, and rules, developing analysis, interpretation, problem-solving abilities over a range of legal issues. They will also gain valuable experience through moot court competitions, pro bono work, and a final-year law clinic.Key Modules: Specific modules include Legal Systems and Methods, Public Law, Land Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, EU Law, Civil Liberties and Human Rights, and Equity and Trusts. Accreditations: The Law degree is accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Bar Standards Board (BSB), which means that it's a Qualifying Law Degree that satisfies the academic stage of legal training required to become a solicitor or barrister.Future Careers: Graduates can look forward to career prospects in law, the justice system, public administration, business and finance, the charity sector, and others.
