The BSc (Hons) Geography and Geology at Edge Hill University is a hybrid programme that combines the study of the Earth's environments, landscapes, processes, and their associated hazards, with the planet's structure, formation, and history over 4.6 billion years. The course provides an integrated understanding of the relationships between human societies and the physical landscapes they inhabit.Course Content: The curriculum involves modules covering physical geography, human geography traditions, geology and the terrestrial record, with optional paths in second and third year.Key Modules: The course encompasses modules such as Landscape Evolution, Interpreting Environments, Discovering the Earth, Human Geography Traditions, Geography and Geology Fieldwork Techniques, The Plastic Planet, and Quaternary Geology and Climate Change among others.Accreditations: The program, subject to re-validation, is accredited by the Geological Society, London, for the academic years 2021/22 to 2025/26 inclusive.Future Careers: Image interpreters, environmental managers, geospatial analysts, landscape architects, town and country planners, civil contingencies officers and teachers are just a few examples of careers graduates may pursue.
