Students will gain an understanding of various religious perspectives and be trained to deliver compelling Religious Education lessons for diverse groups of students.Key Modules: The areas covered in the course include learning, teaching and assessing in Religious Education, child development, behavior management, and providing for pupils with additional needs. Specific modules include Professional Practice, Subject Pedagogy, and School Based Training where trainees are allocated to a placement in a partner school for first-hand teaching experience.Accreditations: Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) which is awarded by Edge Hill University in addition to the undergraduate degree.Future Careers: The course prepares graduates for a career in secondary school teaching primarily, with Edge Hill University offering career support during and after the course.
