The Publishing Studies MLitt course offered at the University of Stirling is a part-time and full-time postgraduate degree course that focuses on the past, present, and future of books. With a blend of theoretical understanding and practical experience, students will acquire knowledge on how books are conceptualized, designed, and produced, as well as how they are consumed and reviewed. Course Content: The course provides a comprehensive view of the publishing industry. From how it operates and the various roles within it, through to the impact of innovation, students will be equipped with a deep understanding of the sector and be well-prepared to anticipate change.Key Modules: Key modules include Publishing in Context, Marketing & Sales Management, Publishing, Literature and Society, Creating and Consuming Literature, Electronic Publishing, and Content Creation.Accreditations: This is the only Publishing Studies course in Scotland that is accredited by the Professional Publishers Association (PPA).Future Careers: Graduates can pursue an array of careers, such as sales, marketing, digital and print production, design, editorial, and rights within the publishing industry.
