Sport Psychology at the University of Stirling offers students the opportunity to understand the psychology behind the sports performance and behavior. This course intersects the studies of psychology and sports sciences, oriented to provide knowledge, skills, and experiences necessary to enhance sports participation and performance.Course Content: The course introduces psychological theories and methods used to understand and improve performance in sport, keep the mind healthy and handle the pressures that come with competition. Student will learn about the impact of psychological factors on performance and how participation in sport and exercise affect physiological and psychological well-being. Key Modules: The course includes key modules such as Foundations of Sport & Exercise Psychology, Applied Sport Psychology: Relevance and Application, Social Psychology of Sport & Exercise, Contemporary Issues in Sport Psychology, and Research Methods amongst others.Accreditations: The course is accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) so students will be eligible for graduate basis for Chartered Membership of the BPS.Future Careers: Graduates from this course can find employment in sports content development, performance enhancement, sports-related media, or continue further study in sports psychology.
