The Biological Sciences BSc (Hons) course at Kingston University provides an in-depth understanding of biological processes, from cellular and molecular biology to ecology and evolution. With a strong emphasis on practical skills and real-world applications of biology, students gain a comprehensive grounding in a range of biological areas. Course Content: This course includes studies in essential areas of biology such as genetics, microbiology, human health and disease, forensic genetics, biological research project, cellular and molecular biology. The program aims to cover diverse areas of biological sciences during the three-year duration.Key Modules: The key modules of this course include Essential Skills for Biologists, Genetics, Microbiology, Human Health and Disease, Forensic Genetics, Cellular and Molecular Biology, and Biological Research Project. In their final year, students undertake a research project in a topic of their personal interest. Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Royal Society of Biology (RSB) for the purpose of meeting in part the academic and experience requirement for the Membership and Chartered Biologist (CBiol).Future Careers: Graduates can pursue a range of careers in biomedical laboratories, public health and regulatory bodies, pharmaceutical and biotechnological companies, hospitals, and in research, teaching, or related fields.
