The Product and Furniture Design course at Kingston University is designed to allow students to explore, innovate, and shape the future of modern design. These are complemented by supportive technical demonstrations, lectures, seminars, workspace tutorials, and the ability to showcase personal projects at graduate exhibitions. Key Modules: Students will undertake modules focusing on the core principles of design, including Idea Generation and Development, Branding and Professional Practice, Creative Technical Skills, and Major Project realization. Other modules cover design theory and culture, analogue making skills, digital design, and material and manufacturing processes. Future Careers: Graduates of this course are well-prepared for careers in various fields such as product design, furniture design, lighting design, toy design, automotive design, and design curation and journalism. Also, entrepreneurial graduates have the opportunity to set up their design studios.
