The Fine Art BA(Hons) course offered by Kingston University is designed to provide students with an understanding of the diverse possibilities of contemporary art practice for the development of an individual creative voice. The program offers the ability to access a wide range of professional practice and aims to nurture the skills required for a successful career in today's complex and changing art world.Course Content: The course involves the study of several core modules. In year one, learning is focused on skills-based workshops in painting, sculpture, digital media, printmaking and drawing, complemented by lectures and seminars. Year two involves practice-based research related to individual student's interests and year three is a self-directed year with a final public-facing presentation as an endpoint. Key Modules: Some of the modules include Studio Practice, Critical and Historical Context, and Creative Futures. Workshops are also given in Life Sculpture, Painting Techniques, Neuro-ceramics, and 3D Prototyping among others. Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Kingston University.Future Careers: The course aims to equip students for careers as practicing artists,curators, teachers, photographers, animators or working in galleries or art institutions.
