The MA International Economics programme at the University of Essex is designed to help students develop marketable skills for future careers in areas such as international development, economic policy, and other sectors where good quantitative and analytical abilities are required. The course offers a comprehensive understanding of the main theories that underpin the world economy, such as development economics, international trade, and public economics, among others.Course Content: This course is organised into 2 semesters consisting of compulsory modules, optional modules, and a dissertation. The compulsory modules cover essential topics such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometric Theory, and International Trade. Students also have the option to select from a variety of topics including Health Economics, Economic Growth and Development, or Data Analysis among others.
