BA Politics with Business

The BA Politics with Business is a robust undergraduate programme offered by the University of Essex. It provides a profound understanding of the theories, methods, and the practice of politics within the contemporary world, and allows students to develop transferable skills in research, presentation, group work, creativity, critical analysis, and entrepreneurship. Course Content: The course combines the study of political theory, British and European politics, international relations, political economy, and American politics with business modules. The politics part of your degree gives you the tools to explore how people and society make decisions, the business portion allows you to understand and inform these decisions in a business context. Students can choose to either specialise in international business or choose to combine their interest in politics with business modules from our Essex Business School.Key Modules: The programme involves a variety of modules such as Foundation in Business (for International Business), Introduction to Business Management, Politics and Governance, Domestic Politics of the USA, International Relations: Theories and Approaches, Ideas and Ideologies in Politics and Economics, Investigating Social Life III etc. In the final year, students get an opportunity to deepen their understanding of politics and business through a dissertation.Accreditations: The University of Essex has accreditation from EPAS and EQUIS, the two major international accreditations for globally-oriented Business Schools.
