The LLB (Hons) Law is a comprehensive, honours degree-level course offered at Robert Gordon University that provides an extensive, practical foundation for the application of law at a professional level. This intensive, full-time program includes opportunities for practical legal research, effective communication techniques and team-based problem solving.Course Content: The course has been designed to provide a broad understanding of Scottish law while also providing flexibility through a range of optional modules. Course content includes a foundation in key areas such as Constitutional Law, Contractual Obligations, Property Law, and Criminal Law, as well as offering specialist options in areas including Oil and Gas Law, Intellectual Property Law, and Human Rights.Key Modules: Over four years, students engage with a variety of modules including Legal Systems, Contract & Unjustified Enrichment, EU Law, Family Law, Corporate Governance, and International Private Law among others.Accreditations: The LLB (Hons) Law degree is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland and the Faculty of Advocates, which are the professional bodies for Scottish solicitors and advocates.Future Careers: Graduates of this course are well-prepared for a wide range of legal careers such as advocacy, solicitor in private practice or in-house, legal executive and paralegal in Scotland, England, and Wales.
