The BA (Hons) French and Spanish course at the University of Strathclyde allows students to gain in-depth knowledge of two major global languages and cultures. This full-time, four-year course provides a comprehensive study of French and Spanish language, history, and culture, offering an opportunity to spend a year abroad in a French or Spanish speaking country. Course Content: The programme involves a mix of language classes, cultural studies, and literary analysis. In the first two years, approximately two-thirds of your classes will be in language study, including grammar, translation, and oral skills. The remaining one third focuses on culture, society, history, and literature of French and Spanish-speaking countries. The third year is spent in a French or Spanish speaking country, allowing students to immerse themselves in the language and culture.
