In Year 1, the focus is on familiarising students with key concepts and current issues in politics. Year 2 deepens this understanding with a focus on political theory. In Year 3, students are encouraged to specialise based on their interests and the topics are discussed more deeply and reflectively. Lastly, in Year 4, the students are expected to complete a dissertation in Politics and International Relations or Social Policy.Key Modules: Some of the key modules in this course include The Politics of the Welfare State, Social Theories for Social Policies, and International Relations Theory.
