BA (Hons) History & Psychology

The History & Psychology course at the University of Strathclyde combines two major fields of study to understand human behaviours and events through time. The programme is delivered in a combined honours degree format, in which both subjects are studied in equal depth. Course Content: Students in this programme will explore essential psychological knowledge in areas like cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, neuroscience, and social psychology. In addition, they delve into historical insights to understand human societies, ideas, problems, and the complex nature of historical evidence. Students will also have the opportunity to engage in work placements, research projects, and independent study. Future Careers: Graduates from the History & Psychology programme can pursue careers in different sectors, including heritage and tourism, journalism, law, the civil service, teaching, human resources, health-related roles, marketing, and much more.
