BA (Hons) French & Politics and International Relations

The French and Politics & International Relations course offered by the University of Strathclyde intertwines the study of a world language with the study of international politics. By engaging with French language and culture, as well as global political and social issues, students are prepared for a wide range of future career paths. The course is a four year degree, with the third year usually spent abroad in a French-speaking country. Course Content: The focus of the course is split between French and Politics & International Relations. For the French portion, students have a chance to develop fluency in French through a mix of language and culture classes. In the Politics & International Relations portion, students study modules such as Political Ideas, Comparative Politics, International Relations, and Security & Global Politics, among others.
