BA (Hons) English and Creative Writing & Spanish

The English, Creative Writing & Spanish course offered by the University of Strathclyde allows students to engage in the theoretical and practical aspects of both English and Spanish Literature, complemented by creative writing skills. This course, lasting for four years, is full-time and held in-person.Course Content: The inter-disciplinary course is comprised of various strands, including English, Creative Writing, and Spanish. In the first two years, students are introduced to the analysis and interpretation of literature, the craft of writing fiction, poetry, plays, screenplays, and the study of the Spanish language. The third year consists of a year abroad to immerse the students in Spanish culture and language. The fourth year culminates in a dissertation where students can exhibit their literary understanding and creative writing abilities.Key Modules: The course includes modules such as Introduction to English Studies, Introduction to Creative Writing: Prose Fiction, Introduction to Creative Writing: Poetry, Spanish, and Culture among others.Future Careers: With a degree in English, Creative Writing & Spanish, students can pursue a multitude of career paths.
