BA (Hons) English & Creative Writing

The English and Creative Writing course at the University of Strathclyde allows students to explore the boundaries of their own creativity while also developing an understanding and appreciation of English literature. Combining traditional and innovative approaches to the study of English literature, students will delve into fiction, poetry, drama, and non-fiction, from the Renaissance through to the present day.Course Content: The course is taught by a dedicated team of professors whose areas of interest include all major areas of literary study and who specialize in topics including Scottish literature, the novel, the short story, creative writing, and modernism. In addition to core English classes, you'll also take Creative Writing workshops where you will learn the skills of good, stylish writing needed in the processes of drafting and crafting.
