The Early Childhood Graduate Practitioner course at the University of Bedfordshire equips students with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in the Early Childhood practice and education sector. The overarching goal of the course is to impart teaching and leadership skills and provide a solid foundation in children's rights.Course Content: The course is divided into six modules, all of which have been purposely crafted to allow students to understand the complexities of childhood from multiple perspectives. The course content is analytical and provides a critical understanding of issues affecting children and their families in today's globalised world.Key Modules: Key study modules are inclusive of Early Childhood Policy and Practice, Children Rights, Leadership and Management in Early Years, The Child in Society, and Research Methods. Accreditations: On successful completion of this course, the students will gain Graduate Practitioner Competencies, awarded by the Early Childhood Studies Degrees Network (ECSDN). This accreditation allows students to further demonstrate their capabilities as Early Years practitioner.Future Careers: This course prepares students for enhanced careers in Early Childhood practice and education, policy and advocacy, and leadership roles.
