    Course Content: The midwifery course includes modules in Professional Midwifery Practice, Biological and Social Factors influencing Reproductive Health, Supporting the Health of the Newborn, Evidence Based Midwifery, as well as public health and research methods. Alongside theoretical learning, the course includes a significant amount of placement experience in hospital and community settings where you apply your learned skills in a real-world context.

    Key Modules: The course is structured into modules such as Normal Childbirth and Perinatal Mental Health, Midwifery Management of Complex Childbirth, and Midwifery Management of Neonatal and Maternal Emergencies. Additionally, coursework also includes Research Methods and a dissertation module.

    Accreditations: The MSc Midwifery is accredited by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), making graduates of this course eligible to apply for registration as a midwife after successful completion of the program.

    Future Careers: Upon completion of the course, graduates can work as qualified midwives within the NHS, or in independent practice. The course also prepares students for leadership roles in midwifery and obstetric units.
