The Nursing (RN Children and Young People) program at the University of Salford is a comprehensive course designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to care for youngsters dealing with illnesses. This course undertakes a comprehensive study that combines theoretical aspects and real-world clinical placements. Course Content: The degree course covers a wide range of topics including foundations of nursing for children and young people, understanding research and evidence-based practice, public health, and leadership for safe and effective care. Alongside learning in lectures and seminars, students will spend 50% of the time in a variety of clinical placements. Key Modules: Key modules in this course encompass Foundations of Nursing for Children and Young People, Skills for Nursing Practice, Developing Nursing Practice, and Management and Leadership in Nursing. They also focus on Applied Biological Sciences, Promoting Health and Preventing Ill Health, Research and Evidence-Based Practice for Nursing, Mental Health and Well-being, and Management and Leadership in Nursing.Accreditations: Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as an RN Child.Future Careers: Graduates of this program can expect a wide range of career opportunities.
