The Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at the University of Salford delves deep into the historical, social and cultural contexts of the written word. Having the creative city of Manchester as a backdrop, this course allows students to explore literature in a variety of genres and mediums, ranging from graphic novels and e-novels to the traditional novel, poetry and drama. Course Content: The course is woven around six main themes: Reading Literature; From Text to Screen; Genre; Transnational Literatures; Author Studies; and Controversy and Canon.
