The MSc Diagnostic Radiography (Pre-registration) course at the Teesside University is a two-year accelerated program for graduates. This course provides an opportunity for students to gain a professional healthcare qualification leading to eligibility to apply to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) for registration as a diagnostic radiographer. Potential students must hold a minimum of a 2:2 in a relevant subject and have completed a period of work experience in a diagnostic imaging department within the previous 12 months.Course Content: This course involves students developing a professional understanding in radiography with a robust combination of theory and practice. The program closely links radiographic theory and the science related to imaging with practice by integrating academic and practice modules. It also covers the mandatory training required by health professionals: basic life support, moving and handling, child and vulnerable adult protection and information governance. Key Modules: Critical Core modules include Foundations in Diagnostic Radiography, Applied Sciences for Diagnostic Radiography, Radiographic Technique and Image Evaluation for Diagnostic Radiographers, and Practice-Based Learning.
