MA Animation

The Master of Arts in Animation offered at Teesside University is an advanced program, designed to equip students with further professional, creative and technical skills in the field. The course balances theory and practice, helping students advance in a variety of roles related to animation.Course Content: The course equips students with the know-how to develop their ideas from a rough sketch to a polished piece of digital artwork. The course includes the study and production of an animated short film made to a professional, showcase standard. Students gain a solid grounding in the creative, practical and technological aspects of digital animation as well as learning essential project management skills. Key Modules: MA Animation studio practice is taught through practical demonstrations, workshops, lectures and seminars. This unique learning journey is supplemented by a programme of visiting industry specialists and a period of negotiable learning, enabling you to concentrate on an area of specialism through one major project. Future Careers: This course prepares students for a wide variety of roles in the animation sector and beyond.
