The BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy is a full-time undergraduate course offered by the Teesside University. The course is designed to provide students with both advanced clinical understanding and hands-on practical skills in physiotherapy, preparing them for getting registered as a physiotherapist upon graduation.Course Content: The course is delivered over three years. It combines theory and practice, with an equal focus on developing academic abilities and clinic-based skills. The teaching includes use of the University's state-of-the-art clinical simulation suites. In the first year, students start their placement to enable immediate application of theory into practice. Key Modules: The course is split into three years – each with specific modules to enhance and develop learner's understanding and skills. In the first year, you study modules such as Physiotherapy Practice, Anatomy and Physiology for Physiotherapy and Clinical Simulation. The second year includes modules such as Physiotherapeutic Management of Neurological Conditions and Integrated Clinical Practice. The final year focuses on modules such as Autonomous Practice, Leadership & Enterprise and Research Study. Accreditations: The course is accredited by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). This means that the students are eligible to apply for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council upon successful completion of the course.Future Careers: Graduates of the BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy can find employment in a variety of sectors, including the NHS, private sector or sports clubs.
