The BEng (Hons) Aerospace Engineering at Teesside University is a dynamic and comprehensive programme that equips students with essential skills in aerospace and associated engineering disciplines. The course is designed to provide students with the knowledge and expertise to design, analyse and test new aerospace products.Course Content: The course develops your skills in engineering, aerodynamics, astronautics, systems integration, propulsion systems and pilot principles. It provides an understanding of the importance of systems life cycle management, systems engineering approach and sustainability engineering. You also develop a deeper understanding of smart grids and renewable energy generation from sources such as solar, wind, hydro, wave and tide, and the issues related to these renewable generation methods.Key Modules: Some of the key modules include Flight Mechanics, Propulsion and Engine Systems, Aerodynamics and Astronautics, Aircraft Structural Analysis and Design, Aircraft Systems Integration.Accreditations: The course is fully accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and offers the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered Engineer when presented with an accredited MEng or with an accredited BEng plus an appropriate master's degree.Future Careers: The course prepares you for work in aerospace, defense, transportation and manufacturing sectors.
