The LLB (Hons) Law course at the University of South Wales provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the principles, concepts and applications of law. This course aims to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to enter professional practice, and provides guaranteed transfer to Cardiff's Bar Professional Training Course for graduates with a minimum grade. Course Content: This course takes a practical approach to tackle legal problems. It provides you with fundamental knowledge of legal principles and concepts, along with an understanding of the political, social, economic, and ethical contexts where law operates. Key Modules: Key modules of this course include 'Contract Law', 'Criminal Law', 'Equality and the Law', 'EU Law' and 'Legal Skills'. In the final year, students undertake a dissertation and have multiple optional modules to choose from.Accreditations: This course is recognised by both the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board, meaning it's a major step towards becoming a solicitor or a barrister. Future Careers: Graduates go on to successful careers in a wide array of fields including Legal departments in government, industry, commerce, or the community sector. Some become legal practitioners, while others work in areas such as trading standards, the CPS, police service, or the courts.
